Use case: transit hubs
Hot food at the gate. No kitchen staff required.
Stations, airports, and ferry ports need hot food service across a long service window. Cook-e fills the gap that vending machines cannot: a continuously monitored hold cabinet that runs without a cook on shift.
The gap Cook-e fills
The transit hub hot-food dead zone
Transit locations see peak footfall demand for hot food between 07:00-09:30 and again 12:00-14:00. The existing options are cold vending machines, which cannot serve hot food, or staffed concession stands, which require a trained cook on shift during every service window.
The staffed model breaks down at low-traffic hours and shoulder shifts. The unattended-vending model cannot serve hot food at all. Cook-e operates in the space between: a continuously held hot food cabinet that monitors its own contents and does not need a cook to operate.
How Cook-e fits transit operations
Load once per shift. Vision handles the rest.
Concession staff load trays at shift start. The cabinet runs until the shift ends or until it needs restocking.
Per-tray independent monitoring
Each of the 12 tray slots is monitored independently. A loaded tray on slot 4 does not affect the countdown on slot 7.
06:00-22:00 service window
The cabinet is designed to run through a full transit operating day without requiring staff check-ins between load cycles.
Remote dashboard monitoring
Concession managers can check cabinet status from a phone or terminal. Alerts fire when a tray's hold window is exceeded.
Compact kiosk footprint
