Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2025

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Cook-e SAS ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on incook-e.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy. Because incook-e.com is a product information and early-access site for a hardware product deployed at transit hubs, offices, and late-night venues in France, the cookies we use are limited to what is genuinely necessary to run the site and, where you consent, to understand how operators explore the Cook-e product pages.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on a return visit, store preferences, and (where consented) measure usage. We also use related technologies such as browser local storage for the same purposes described below.

3. Your Consent

We operate a prior-consent model consistent with the ePrivacy Directive. We do not set non-essential cookies (analytics or preferences) until you give your explicit prior consent through the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. The banner offers a clear choice: accept all cookies or continue with necessary cookies only.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent; they are the minimum required for the site to function and for the consent record itself to be stored.

4. Categories of Cookies We Use

Category Examples Lifetime Legal basis
Strictly necessary Session token, CSRF protection, cookie-consent record Session to 12 months Legitimate interest / contract performance
Preferences Language choice, UI theme Up to 12 months Consent
Analytics Self-hosted, anonymised site-usage data to understand operator navigation paths Up to 13 months Consent
Marketing Not currently used N/A Consent (not active)

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be set by third-party service providers acting as our processors (for example, an analytics provider helping us understand how operators navigate the product pages). The Company has data-processing agreements with such providers under Article 28 GDPR and only enables their cookies after you have given your consent. We do not enable third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies on this site.

6. Managing Cookies

  • Use the cookie banner or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer to accept, reject, or review your consent at any time.
  • Browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies independently of our banner; guidance is available at aboutcookies.org. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair site functionality.
  • Browser-transmitted opt-out signals (including the Global Privacy Control) are honoured for analytics and marketing cookie categories.

7. Changes

If we change the cookies we use (for example, when we add an analytics provider ahead of a product launch), we will update this Policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where required by the ePrivacy Directive or GDPR, present the banner again to obtain renewed consent.
